Come along, or contact Revd Murray George EVENTSSunday 18th September: 3pm- the Licencing of the Rev Margaret Davies. All are welcome to come and be part of this important occasion. The arrival of a new priest is always an important event, marking the beginning of a new phase of ministry for priest and people. This is marked by a special service,as the people, the new minister, and the representatives of the wider community come together with the Bishop to celebrate with a high sense of anticipation of God's blessing on the years that are ahead. Some features of the service have their origins in the Middle Ages; others are comparatively new. In itself, this reminds us that Christian ministry has been offered here for many generations while it has been made fresh for each succeeding generation. The last induction of a new priest in Clavering took place in 1989 and with it's sense of history and symbolism it will be an occasion which should not be missed. CHURCH CARDSThe picture of Clavering Church is copied from a card which is for sale in the church. Packets of 5 or 10 available by phoning 01799550515- price on application.
