Dear Parishioners,

 Since the open meeting in January, the overwhelming enthusiasm in the village has meant several administrative meetings to get all our information together.  We do apologise to those who were squeezed out into the corridor at the Fox, but we had only expected about 15 people!

The Parish Plan is definitely not a closed shop still  -  we can’t have too many people and there is still room for more, so do join us if you have an interest in helping get all the information together.   The full Minutes will shortly be put on the Website but its not necessary to be on computer to join us – do let us know if you want paper copies or phone contact.   In the meantime, we have applied for the standard grant to cover our administrative costs (the Parish Council has voted the match-funding of £125).

As the next step, the heads of groups have been invited to a working meeting on Saturday, 23 February and they will then get in touch with everyone else interested in their topic.   Following that, all the 50-odd people involved or interested so far are invited to a meeting on TUESDAY evening, 4 MARCH  at 7.30pm (venue tba), so that we can all share ideas and get up to date with what questions need to be asked.  Please put this date in your diaries now.

The Questionnaires will be going out with the June Newsletter, and there will be a need for volunteers to collect them (this shouldn’t be too onerous a job).   This part is crucial to the success of the Plan, as without the replies we cannot summarise villagers’ views, and this is what will be used in all sorts of ways in the future.   We suggest the collection of replies is done in areas, preferably by those who live there, and will be done about the end of June.

So now, if anyone else would like to join a particular group and help collate information, please let us know what topic interests you (or if you wish to add anything new), and ring Alex who will put you in touch with the Chairman of that group. If you’d just like to help with collating generally, or with collecting, that’s fine too   -   all are welcome!
